The Coca-Cola London Eye is centrally located in the heart of the capital, gracefully rotating over the River Thames opposite the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. At 135 metres, the Coca-Cola London Eye is the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel, offering breathtaking 360 degree views of the capital and its famous landmarks.
The gradual rotation in one of the 32 high-tech glass capsules takes approximately 30 minutes and gives you an ever changing perspective of London. Within each capsule, six touch screens powered by Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 allow you to explore the capital’s iconic landmarks in several languages.
An experience on the Coca-Cola London Eye will lift you high enough to see up to 40 kilometres on a clear day and keep you close enough to see the spectacular details of the city unfolding beneath you.
The Coca-Cola London Eye will become a visual landmark for Rugby World Cup 2015 in London, with capsules being wrapped in the 20 competing nation’s flags for the duration of the Tournament. In addition, the interior of the capsules will showcase images from rugby fans across the world, captured through the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour.
At night, the London Eye will be lit up in the pool colours of the Tournament giving fans the chance to capture images and create their own memories of Rugby World Cup 2015.
The themed capsule installations have already started and will be in place between until 31st October when the final match will be played. The London Eye will be open daily from 10.00 until 20.30 during the tournament.
